Poem Artwork

You want a war through history,
just as you wanted to call his bluff

and see him made into a proper king.

You want things to hurry up,
for me to fix what you know I can fix

and never mind the asking for it to be done.

You want a revolution, as do I,
but you want it quick and incisive, without delay
and with a heavy-handed justice for all the perceived wrongs.

Some think you greedy, but I think not.

Beneath the fire that burns in you, there is peace
that breaks my heart wide open.

Some say you only want revenge, that you are
a bloodthirsty rebel rabble-rouser like all the rest,

but I have tasted the joy you so desire.

Some say you are merely a man at war,
tired and bitter, having lost your way, but beloved,
in your Judas eyes, I see love and only love.

sometimes one can wonder if Judas was really betrayed by the ignorance of others perceptions ... great development and perspective ...

Certainly makes me wonder who you are writing about. Some intriguing lines, that's for sure.
