We were laughing, breathless at
the bounty of the blessing multiplied,

Breaking bread, as one we sat
beneath the stars, so captivated by
the stories we did not yet understand.

took us beyond the stars and filled our hearts
like the twelve baskets of bread.

Our hearts emptied of love for each other,
small size of the fissures that divided
leaves me crying, breathless at

Sweep of all we have yet to remember
and quickening aproach of promised day.
