Poem Artwork

The thing is we've been doing it together all along
though outward appearances would certainly say otherwise.

Look at what beauty has unfolded just because we dared
to work this out in a way that felt right to each of us.

So we rocked this life boat
and took turns fighting for the helm.

We both got drenched by tears and storm.
We forgot it wasn't just us and this damn boat,
and here we are wishing we could unravel time
and there we were damning the other through time.

All the times in between were just pretense.
Maybe we didn't expect it but here we are,
and I think we've had enough of our war.
Let's give peace another chance?

This time our tour of the world below
doesn't have to end on a ship of death.

Look at what mystery is revealed just because we dreamed
of a day when it would all be possible again.

The thing is we've been on the same page for eons
though inner remembrance would convince us it cannot be.

So when you get here
or decide to leave there
is neither here nor there
and I'll be here, knowing

We are held together,
living in this sacred story
and moving with love
in between the worlds.

This has some wonderful images and thoughts which give one to pause, wonder and maybe store it for further use. Also, I absolutely relate to . . .
