Gull flew past crying-
she wanted to be that bird.
To cry-
fly-
run away.
pebbles grazed her feet,
she walked-
cliff breeze dragged her shawl,
toppling it from shoulders,
she watched it float;
a mad dance on the wind,
out of sight,
its blue melted into the sea below.
she shivered in whale song,
saw its spout, stream of spray,
wanted to be that mammal.
To dive-
deep-
swim away.
his face tore, in her eyes;
it bled in the rain,
on her cheek it scarred,
in trickles it ran,
she wiped him away,
to see it return, stronger.
she played as dolphins danced,
