If you've ever been to a rodeo, you know what I'm talking about...
Proud above us, way up high Ol’ Glory is waving in the evening sky against twinkling stars shiny and bright her own stars are a beautiful sight.
A dressed up girl in shirt and chaps rides in the arena with quickening steps she is singing clearly the most precious song ‘Stars Spangled Banner’ – not one note wrong.
They open the chutes, with a deafening sound the bronc starts to buck, dust whirls all around right ducks the beast first, than it turns left cowboy hold on, give it your best.
The clown entertains and cracks funny jokes he sure knows to get laughter out of the folks who came to see on this perfect day the cowboys compete in fair play.
The ladies have their own event around three barrels their horses get send in frightening speed and in a clover leaf pattern the winner gets all, second place doesn’t matter,
some cowboys rope a calf others wrestle a steer the clown makes me still laugh I think I’ll get another beer.
Behind the bucking chutes I stroll because I have one specific goal you might think this life is nuts but I sure like those Wrangler butts.
Yea--got me smiling big time.
Love the mud and the dust and those Wrangler butts.
Get hold of me if you come to New Mexico and I'll buy the first beer.
Great write.
