Have you ever wondered what it would be like without viruses and bacterial diseases?

Pestilence

Pestilence has been here,

since the beginning of time.

Pestilence's reason is clear,

as its reason is rhyme.

Without pestilence life,

would be filled with mistakes.

Genetic flaws of imperfection,

all that flaws and disease takes.

Designed to take the weakest down,

pestilence reigns throughout life's realm.

Pestilence grows in the lowest of beings,

pestilence thrives without emotions, feelings.

Life ever stronger when it meets its match,

waiting for a new threat to eventually, hatch.

Pestilence grows in the vilest of pits.

Pestilence hides in the darkest of waters,

dankest of caves and vilest of pig wallows,

foulest of fowl and dirtiest of bat feces,

cesspool of existence and no resistance.

Pestilence waits at life's gates,

until we let its violence come in.

And then, we scramble and run,

pray and sin, all to avoid getting,

what may eventually, win.

THERE IS NO PLACE TO HIDE FROM THE WILL OF GOD. I DON'T TRY TO UNDERSTAND WHY EVER SO OFTEN A PANDEMIC OCCURS AND SO MANY DIE. ALL I KNOW IS THAT EVERYTHING GOD ALLOWS IS FOR A REASON...A REASON THAT I DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR. ALL WE CAN DO IS PRAY AND TRUST HIM AS HE CONTINUES TO HAVE HIS WAY. THANK YOU FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

We've been down that road before and we never learn. Pestilence can make you strong or weak, the glass have full, half empty, I say draw breath and live as best as you can, and never lose hope. Praying that pestilence won't win dear Ron, be well, thinking of you and sending light your way this season, thankyou for sharing.

The reality is that disease and bacteria have been in this world ever since it began. Many of us have built our own immune system within our bodies so we can fight them off and become much stronger. The weak people are most vulnerable

Throughout the ages the humans of the world have been harassed by diseases, germs, illness, pestilence and plagues....It would be a perfect world if there was no such things that would cause illness or even death....

An abrupt halt and a mandatory "stop, look and listen" to what today became unfathomable: 1,000,000 new infections in the first 5 days of December... and we haven't even tasted the aftermath results of Thanksgiving hubris and ignorance. doG help us in the coming months.

Stark, harsh, and real... ...and certainly à propos considering the past several months. Love, peace, and stay-well wishes to you, Ron,

Succumb or survive, we're all under siege from the pestilence and uncertainty.

Ronald, I know you don’t believe in God, but nonetheless, I found a lot of truth in this poem, I especially liked the graphic you used for this one, it is taken from the book of Revelation, The third horseman of the apocalypse.

We can run all we want but we can't outrun inevitability. Best to just enjoy each minute of each day for the gift that it is.
