This was a song, but I decided after recording it that my voice was not the right instrument for this, but I still like the lyric.
I however wrote all the lyrics and have revised them for today: THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING... Like my fishing - and my music - Hope springs eternal that I may still get back to it!

HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL

1. Spring is here, oh yea - and the air is clear.

The breezes sing, oh yea and my heart thaws from frozen lakes.

And all the sounds awake from deep inside the wood,

and songs from deep inside of you,

are also inside of me.

And hope springs eternal, springs eternally,

All the things you ever were created to be,

I am the song, (the awakening) answering gently to, deep inside of you.... you know there's something new.

 chorus:

Hope springs eternal deep inside of you

And all the things you ever were & wanted to be,

Sing like that little lost bird on your window sill,

Though gone tomorrow, he sings of hope, that I know I will -
hope eternally (for a better tomorrow).... (or a better today.)

verse#2:

The songs of spring (from deep down inside of me)

Are listening for, an answering tune (from inside of you)

But deep in the wood, the sounds of silence reign.

I wonder will spring, ever be the same again?

But hope springs eternal, deep inside of me,

And all the things I ever was and wanted to be

Sing like a little lost bird on my window sill,

Though gone tomorrow, his song  lingers still.

 chorus#2:
Hope springs eternal, deep down inside of me

and "the sweet earth & summer rain"

are all I ever want to see.

Coda:
But deep in the woods, the birds are silent this spring....

Though gone today, I still hope to hear them sing.....

Hear them sing....

.... Spring Eternally....

Beautiful soothing words to compliment the guitar solo. It reminds me of a babbling brook in the heat of summer when all the flowers are in full bloom....

Be always safe,

Michael, Michael, Michael, that was so beautiful, very soft and relaxing, hey I started singing to the tune...I especially love the lines "And the songs of spring (from deep down inside of me)
Are listening for, an answering tune (from inside of you)" Absolutely beautiful.

What a beautiful tune... and the words are beautiful. I think it could be good-- maybe with a breathy, thin voice instead of a strong one? Any way, I liked the lyrics. For some reason, when I played the music, it kept pausing. That could be something on my end though-- I'll have my hubby look at it. --Charlie
