Abandonment issues affect many people for various reasons.
From abandonment to living life with abandon....
Today, I know that it was
Not meant to be
and the way that
You left
Had nothing to do
With me.
I felt
Abandoned that day that you died;
Abandoned by your love
When your life slid right by.
Abandoned for years
By any man who came
and left me.
Abandoned by my friends
When it came time for them
to move on.
Abandoned by you, Daddy, on
That fateful day
That I found you
lying in blood,
gasping for your breath.
Abandoned Forever
by your untimely death.
On that horrible day,
abandonment Became my
Nightmarish friend.
Abandoned! Yet,
today, I know
That it was
Not meant to be
That I lived my
Life in such misery.
Feeling
Abandoned by those
Whom I came to love.
Abandoned by many who God
Evidently chose
To grace my life
At various times.
Then removed them
When their time was through.
Today,
I know that I was never
Abandoned.I was loved, then
I am loved, now
I give love freely without
Abandon!
That's good stuff! I think the biggest lesson we can learn is that God Says that he will be with us always and if God is in the people we love then there is no exception for them either because they will be with us always as well. So as you said we are never really alone but always longing to meet again. Moreover, its memories that give us clues how refind the one's we've lost physically but not forever. Miriam, I just loved this! I can relate to this in one respect and that was because my husband chose to leave me and our two children. There is deep pain but those experiences can be used and shared to help someone else and we can be better and stronger after the fire has tempered us. A great write - thanks for expressing it.
