A Stitch in Time
By Kathy Armijo
A stitch in time
Saves nine
A silly little rhyme
With sage wisdom of olden time
Preventive medicine
Helps save young and old
It catches illnesses before they devastate
Prolonging ones life – out-finessing fate
Check your tires and your brakes
So the car can keep you safe
Rather than leaving you stranded
In some forsaken place
Clean out the refrigerator
At least once a month
So you don’t think cheddar is really blue cheese
Plleeeeaazze
Check the shingles on the roof
After hail and a heavy rain
Helps keep the house waterproof
Don’t be a birdbrain and tear off the drain
Sew the tear in your jeans
Unless of course you’re thirteen
Oh, clean the carpet once a year
It will last far longer
Say your prayers every day
Thank God for His blessings
He just loves to hear you say
“Thank You” in all your dealings
A stitch in nine –
A wonderful time and life-saving line
Will make your life truly fine
Saves lots and lots of dimes

Love ya, RaeLynn
I just enjoyed this poem. When I think of the stitch, I of course think of sewing..anyway, you surely always have very wise words to say.
