you're asking me? i'm asking you.
i'm shell shocked still, and thankful,
the heart pulled us through
what seemed to be an untamed will.
was i ever prepared for what i do
or was supposed to know what to do?
where i had been, way back when
the world i knew was cruel, and
i want to believe not everyone is
and shed a little smile on the world.
though the way, the path,
the journey, the story
seemed to shapeshift
before my eyes.
so instead of crashing
this soulship vehicle
and listening to the backseat whining,
honey, why don't you just drive.
because somebody said
"let go, let god"
so i'm handing you the key
because something inside is telling me
it's going to be an amazing ride.
