When Any New Found Love You Think Is Yours To Embrace;
Unexpectably....Actually....
Already Belongs To Another....

Days of Old

I stumbled upon a chest
full of treasures gems and gold;
Locked within a loyal devotion
honoring the days of old...

I held the secure lock of promise
it opened within my hands;
In vows to love me forever
with royal servant commands...

I sat with my disbelief
how something so good to be true ;
Then a wave of realization whisked upon me
and it was then I knew...

I was looking at a treasure
of gems and gold upon this chest;
Belonging to another’s heart
from days of old that will not rest...

I invite all to visit my den site to enjoy my reading of this stirring poem (with musical background). I'm reminded to tell you because I just listened to it, again, and it leads me to believe that Victoria McColley is without doubt one of the most romantic poets of all time. I fall to my knees in admiration of her soulfully touching artistry.

My dearest Vickie, my life is blessed by knowing you and by being able to share in your heavenly gifts.

You are very intuitive, Vickie. You see things as they truly are. This is beautifully sad. Love to you,
