sadly, that which we know is rarely permanent; there is no such thing as the status quo, however much the conservative in us might wish it; the goal posts are always shifting. Conservatism is a noose around the neck - we stifle that which we try to maintain. And also most certainly we choose to stay safe within the toxically uncomfortable, crazy with the devils we know rather than the devils we don't, harvesting our own bitter crop. In seeking fruitfulness and abundance, we need to positively step beyond the stony ground... you've got me preaching to myself here, Dawn! Bless you - always a mind-matrix of which I'm very fond xx

Dawn - Like the irony of the title which reflects our tendency to fear the unfamiliar even when the familiar is not satisfactory as in:

seeking comfort in

the uncomfortable…

becoming not what we are meant to be,

but that which we choose.

Yes, the seasons do bring variations of mood. With the first cold spell here in FL where I live, calling for the heater to be turned on, I am completely aware that my mood is different than it was during hot sunny days. I love sleeping late in the cozy warmth of the comforter tucked about me.
