The waterloo of a winner,is about the insincerity and self serving attitude of politicians in Africa.
He basked in the euphoria
Of his victory,his victory
Couched in a ceaseless perchant
For the absurd;the merchant
Of intrigue his way he made
In the dark recess of a world
Populated by daredevil looters
Were his victory he won in a platter
Of injustice.
He mounted the platform,lifted,
On the shoulders of his co-planters
Sounded the Ogene of his
Foreseen victory cooked in the
Chambers of a dragon godfather waiting
In the wings to devour, lick up proceeds
Of promises cast solid like
Iron rods set to rust with time.
His victory written in tablets
Of stone before a vote is cast
Supporters proportionally reassured
Of a billion van share of loot
Admirers bid for time in his place
Family in drawn battle with perceived enemies, the people kick and flex in
Vain for office is for the man and Godfather.
His victory he carts away
Like the prize of a race run
The office he must run like the
Affairs of his bedroom
Afterall he won not by the
Will of the people but by the
Will of a corrupted cabal
Ready to point him to his waterloo.

This resonated well in the read with the corruption one must lead in order to find that power is not in the leader, but with the people...
