You inherent spirit of our
Own domesticates.
Your beauty hidden only
By our intrinsic fears

I hear your soulful song
Breaking the quiet of night
Mourning the loss of your
Own true mate

Your heart, like mine,
Is saddened
By the misunderstanding
Of your proud countenance.

You are a protector;
A faithful friend of your pack.
Your bearing is Strength,
Loyalty to your own.

Your song I will hear
Through the darkness
Until there is light for you
And your kind, dear Wolf!

Thanks for telling me about your wondrous Ode to the Wolf, Micke.

I've heard their mournful wails in the great northwood, and I've even been fortunate enough to see a few of them.

Such magnificent creatures that are once again under attack, and we should all be trying to save them.

Fantastic Micke. I really see you and your heart in this piece. It's like
your soul is crying out, like a wolf in the night.

I walk with black wolf by my side. This is a beautiful tribute to the wolves and a gentle reminder that the wolf is often misunderstood. Let us hope man takes notice soon, before it is too late. Twould be a sad day in creation if the wolf were to cease to exist.
