Long away from good ole author’s den
Not much creativity in this pointed pen
Time spent writing commercial garble
Twitter, Twitter, warble and warble.
Broken connections, always treasured fine
Writing for pay to keep what is only mine
A hall converted to a studio, office, and home
With much sheetrock, repairs, and stryrofoam.
Cozy and warm, furniture flowing here and there
An office, with a partner, who loves to share
Tap, tap, tap, the keyboard sails on crescent moons
Thump, thump, thump, hammering out some tunes.
A fresh coat of paint, all that remains to be done
Then I can write, not for pay, but for pure fun
The expenses will be behind me, once and for all
And chumming with AD warriors will be delightful fun.
