Shivering and cold
water spraying on my head
waiting to get warm.
Fingers in my ears
muffling out echoes of tile
sounds like autumn rain.
Gradual warming
terrycloth, good read, cozy
hot choc'late, whipped cream.
Slumbering lightly
golds and reds, greens and orange
dancing in mid air.
Weary from summer
stop to rest, warm refuge on
Jack-0-Lantern’s smile.
