I have a dream that I keep in my heart
It makes me feel hopeful and secure
It never fails to pick me up each time I fall
A dream that makes my courage burn
To try and find new meanings in every turn
Something that keeps me going on
When the rains beat down hard on my shoulders
When things seem to force me on my knees
I look for that dream inside my heart
Quiet yet engulfing with infinite reassurance
Unselfish in giving comfort and strength
Like a hand that reaches out to hold me safe
I realize that it is a beautiful dream of hope
Something that lets me know and want to share:
Avenues will be opened for our journeys to be made
Blessings will be granted to those who wait and behold
God's time to show and let our purpose unfold.
