Swelling moon, near full, you bore in deep,
night's sky curtain splits in your wake.
I am prepped and draped in this manner,
my heart shunted, my soul drains free.
Moonshadow, you too, lurk in search of me,
nearly satiated, brimming over, yet you thirst.
Yearning, you drain my marrow, burrowing in.
Hollowing out my bones, you sponge me clean.
