I've seen the house where you were born.
But will you drive down my memory lane?
You say my essence stays in your house.
I wonder then, who drives my car home?
You wear my scent on your skin for days.
Does this leave me to wander naked then?
My voice is forever playing in your head.
Tell me then, why have I grown silent?

Anne,
So much in depth verses
"You wear my scent on your skin for days.
Does this leave me to wander naked then?"
Excellent emotion.

Oh..very nice.
Just because you left an echo
doesn't mean you are coming back.
The deep-dive literary meditations presented as stories, poems, and essays in The American Poet Who Went Home Again, A Mosaic of My Soul at Work, have captivated and inspired readers ever since its first paperback publication in 2008.
