Poem Artwork

living twice or so

i was imagining myself
as my self today,
as the day's work
splashed on the screen;
i pretended they were
my words, my stories.

i was imagining myself
as my self today,
as i stirred the fry
over the blistering stove;
i pretended to be chef
in my own four-star 'rant.

i was imagining myself
as my self today,
as the water gushed
from the bathtub spigot;
i pretended to be relaxed
and vacated in a hot spring.

i was imagining myself
as my self today,
as the night rushed in,
the speed of light gone;
i pretended i was captain
of a giant starship.

i imagining myself
as my self today,
as my lids finally fell
and sleep came deep;
i pretended i was still awake
accomplishing twice times many.

This is creativity!
This poem, "living twice or so" can activate the engine of imagination and energize the wings of dreams.
A poetic composition on a cadence of intuition that flows to dramatic stages and on to the sea of reality!

Happy Healthy New Year, Poet!
