Leading offers the best view but submits one to the greatest potential adversities. Those opportunities where we have to chose between thrashing to excel or floundering to fail. Lead, by all means. History is always kindest to those that have ventured. Regardless of whether they were successful or failed. Eileen, creating a ku worth sharing has been an illusive effort for me. I remember thinking that this was a great photo when I saw it on Patrick’s poem, but your words have given it a new life. I love that he caught them with wings up, wings down and two of them, seemingly coasting. Or were they? Maybe his photo just happened to catch them in that position….. Then again, do you suppose they trade off like bicycle riders do in a race, sharing the labor of leading, then resting? I wonder. Nicely done, young lady. Thanks Dick
