For all of my friends who are stuck in a never ending nightmare of a Haitian adoption…where the rules and time frames are ever changing and even the US government is not a friend to the waiting families and children.
When I started on this journey my path was filled with light, for I knew with a strong surety that I had chosen right.
I had heard of many stories of battles long and hard, but I figured that my journey would be the one exception.
The months wore on and doubt crept in-- Shadows stole my hope, and I felt my fingers slide to the bottom of my rope…
I wanted to give up the fight and forget I’d ever started; but my children’s eyes stared back at me and made me realize…
Although my rope is fraying and my patience wearing thin, my children are a part of me and I can’t give up on them!
Your strength and trust in Him shines through. I stand in awe of what you provide to these children. May His love and light guide you in your life's journey.
Words and passion stronger than the umbilical cords themselves, Cryssa. Hold on! Your faith and resolution here are strong and the love bonds more enduring than the red tape that chokes... Bless you, Kate xx
Good poem and great persistency of heart. Cryssa, you have been a jewel of a person in your reviews of my work, and I can't tell you what a tiny portion that must be compared to the total jewel of person you are. ....Jerry
A heartfelt write my friend, keep your faith...remember faith is a substance unseen, so when things are negative and the positive cannot be seen reach down deep for the faith and hold on tight! A great write you as others have commented are to be admired my friend, and as Elizabeth so elegantly put it...great dreams don't come easy! Excellent write!
Blessings,
Joyce B.
Cryssa I admire your strength even in the face of such negativity! Keep your faith, and focus on the victorious ending when it will all prove worthwhile! I'll keep you in thoughts and prayers!
OOooo, the bloodied palms, the burning flesh, and the fire of love behind your heart walls, and your eye-lids... the constant wondering where/how your little ones are... the perpetual paper games... the virtual tug-of-war between governments-- state-to-state, nation-to-nation, agency-to-agency... money changing hands, and once-eager faces turning knowing-- leary-- hopeless. Antisipation melts to pools of doubt and worry. Let's give all the children of the world a free ride to where they prudently wish to go, and have an end to it!! (and a lovely new beginning!) --Charlie
You keep holding on my friend for the rewards will be so great. I am so sorry its been so hard. Someday I dream that people will finally start thinking what's best for the child and nothing about it will be political. Love and prayers. Bonnie
