“Silent guardians”
Sleeping at daybreak
Watching over the night
Their silent whispers soothe
From the fear that lurks inside
Ageless wisdom hidden in their eyes
Beneath their coats of fur hide angels in disguise
Sealing off the four walls of hope with their gaze
Keeping out destructors of happiness and peace
A sanctuary from the outside world
Created inside their purr

Bravo!
They are not of this world - but they know how to make biscuits!

Absolutely fascinating - I love cats! They hold a mystery in their steady gaze and regal in their bearing. Your poem is a tribute!
