This was my cry to God to help me through my brother's murder. The heartache I felt was unbearable. This helped me, I hope it helps you if you had a great loss. This poem was turned into a song and it was sung at many funerals in Colorado.

Walk With Me

Take my hand and walk with me through this night.

Take my heart, make everything all right.

Take my life, take every little part of me.

Take my soul, you know it’s yours eternally.

I dreamt I followed him to those places still unknown.

Watching him embrace those there and feeling so alone.

I cried tears of sadness as he turned and walked away.

But knew I’d see him once again, sometime, somehow, someday.

To never have him with me, that’s the hardest part of all.

The troubles seem so much bigger now, when really they’re so small.

I can’t get used to losing him, no matter how I’ve tried.

I just won’t believe this happened and I just can’t say goodbye.

‘Til that day when were together, I will have to go alone.

And travel all life’s highways, out on my very own.

My heart will be so lonely, just an empty hollow space.

‘Til I’m with him at the end of time, and I take my rightful place.

Take my hand and walk with me through this night.

Take my heart, make everything alright.

Take my life, take every little part of me.

Take my soul, you know it’s yours eternally.

Take my soul, you know it’s yours eternally.

Kind A SLOw In The Kootenays v2.2 by RickthePoetWarrior

Has-beens and coffee get together to recreate a same old new tourist trap in a land even the First Nations don't want.

Next Arrivals by Robin Ouzman Hislop

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
