Everyone needs a safe place to go and this was mine!

Poem Artwork

A Soft Place to Fall!

Everyone needs a soft place to fall.
Where no one judges them or hurts them at all.
Some place where they feel safe and secure
A place where they can heal and given a cure.

Where no one can hurt you or make you feel sad.
Where no one can tease you and make you feel bad.
Everyone needs to find, they’re own soft place to fall.
A place where you get support to help you stand tall.

I think I know where that soft place should be,
‘Cause I established my safe place on the family tree.
It was with Grandma I found my safe place.
And to this day, I can see her dear sweet face.

So go to your Grandma, when you’re hurting inside.
She’ll not judge you or damage your pride.
She’ll sooth your wounds, better than most.
And she’ll offer you love with some tea and toast.

B R A V A !!!! Your grandmother was beautiful inside and out, and you are walking in her footsteps!!! She is looking down in awe this very minute! Bonnie, you can't imagine how strongly I relate. More about that soon. Meantime, I just have to say it again:

My Grandma was one of those, soft like a cloud to land on.
