We’re Just Not That Important!
We’re just not that important, thinking everyone’s using our name in vain.
We think what they do, what they think and say somehow defames our name.
When in fact, what they whispered probably has nothing to do with you or me.
We’re just not that significant in their worlds, why in heaven is it so hard to see?
People have an over-abundance of essential things going on in their own worlds.
They’re much too busy discovering ways of figuring out why their lives unfurl.
Why do we think everything’s about us when words & deeds are said and done?
Don’t we see how self-centered that sounds; we’re not even close or in the run.
People have their unique opinions that they should be allowed to express.
Even if we may disagree with them, our feelings for them shouldn’t digress.
For they may not always completely agree with everything that we do and say.
But we expect their understanding don’t we, in the kindest & gentlest way?
So why don’t we try giving them some slack, it has nothing to do with us.
It’s inside their own hearts, and its not there to offend or to make a fuss.
