Dad………………………………
My early childhood memories
Are sitting on your knee
We’d talk and laugh and tickle
With smiles from you and me.
I remember when I ran from School
A bully on my tail
I ran to you as I knew you’d be there
For me always without fail.
I’ve learnt so much from your wisdom
Your stories of old are a treat
You’re my Dad and oh how I love you
From the top of your head to your feet.
You must understand Dad, the depth of my love
The roots run deep in my heart
There’s nothing on earth that will take this away
Even though things will keep us apart
I treasure all the memories
And the photos of us both together
Nothing on earth could take them away
They will stay with me always, forever.
You’ve never grown old to me Dad
You’ll always be young at heart
You’ve had so much strength through all the years
And taught from the love in your heart.
I know that’s its not all been plain sailing
Over the years we’ve hit good times and bad
But that all comes from being a parent
And between a Daughter and Dad
So now as I write out this poem
A poem that’s just for my Dad
I want you to know that I love you
I love you in good times and bad.
Please say that you’ll remember my childhood
Just as I will remember my own
And think of the memories that we share
As your little girl is now grown.
For my heart is locked with a special key
With memories of you and memories of me
The years have passed and time has flown
And over the years how my love has grown.
You’ll always be my precious Dad
With stories to tell and a laugh so hearty
I smile as I remember you dancing
As you’re the life and soul of a party.
A big kind man with courage and strength
Who battled through illness so brave
Who rubbed sharp whiskers on my face
When you really needed a shave.
Who’s holiday’s abroad make him smile
And Dad your speaking the lingo
Benidorm awaits you Dad
To soak up the sun and play bingo.
Dad you’re the best and I love you so much
Even if you’re a fan of the Quo
And there sure is no Johnny Cash song
That your Daughter doesn’t know.
If I wrote down every memory I had
They would chop down a forest of trees
From a shoulder to cry on when I hit bad times
To you cleaning the dirt from my knees.
You’ve been the one who’s learnt me
To write and read and rhyme
So treasure this poem that I have wrote
And keep it for all of time.
Promise to keep it close by to you
And read it once in a while
I hope that it will make your day
And I hope it will make you smile.
I don’t have grand gifts to give you
My gift is my words from the heart
My Dad is the root of my whole life
Whether together or far apart.

Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
Congratulations on getting married.
