Sunrays penetrated tripartite panels of smalt,
emanated hues of blue to patterns limbate.
Silence filled the cathedral as Gods words echoed,
within lost souls trepidations sear to perplex thoughts.
Without brevity, verses insinuated equivalent powers
between dimensions, the pernicious oeuvre of man.
If the chosen one was not scrupulous or aspirer
evil would no longer be diminutive but predominate.
Would the chosen one bequeath the honor,
instilled with fear succumbing like prey to its predator,
or would he proclaim his destiny with the "sword of truth",
slaying "the fallen angel", ending the holy war?
I realize that this poem may not be so easy to read due to the wording. It was written to a word challenge. So, I have taken the liberty to define some of these words.
tripartite: divided into three parts.
smalt: a deep blue pigment used especially as a ceramic color and prepared by fusing together silica, potash, and oxide of cobalt and grinding to powder the resultant glass.
limbate: Botany. Having an edge or margin of different color.
oeuvre: French. 1.A work or art. 2. The sum of an artist's work.
pernicious: tending to cause death or serious injury: deadly.
