The old man stands
like a question-mark
against the day.

 

I watch him
like an exclamation-point
in wonderment,

 

only to conclude
that life ends
with an ellipses...

Hi Tracey,

I read this from work and couldn't comment...you changed the last stanza, but it is actually tighter and more poignant this way. Not to say the original didn't work, just that ending it with "ellipses" really "shows" the meaning. Very tight and concise!
