Impalpable Moments

There is nothing better
than this moment—
as the morning sun wakes the world
with its simple chattels.

Silvery dewdrops glisten
mystically on  leaves, emerald blades,
and vibrant petals blushed
in different shades.

Spider web skeletons
shimmer
in a  three dimensional
liquid maze.

Time silently passes
and sunrays leisurely reach inward
vaporizing dew-droplets
to fresh scents slowly inhaled.

Nearby birds chirp
gracefully rejoicing the diminishing
of a shadowy night
and a squirrel stands silently
like a British Guard
wearing its bearskin,
protective of its newfound
treasure, a crowned acorn.

Speechless, I observe in awe
of how effortlessly morning light
gives naissance to life.

I remember this piece...it reminded me of a comment you left on one of my poems. Something about, taking you there on that journey where you could see the details, sights and sounds. Yes...it is here.

Gorgeous, Tracie! I was spell-bound, for, it seemed, so few seconds, I wish I had more of the poem to read..

You capture and paint the essence of how a new day has filled your heart with awe and it leaves me speechless.

Birdsong is special to me in the morning this Spring. It means new life and sounds so peaceful when I wake up to the mockingbird, the woodpeckers, the robins tweedling and whatever else is out there. I know I am alive and have nature surrounding me. You described your morning so alive too.

Your heart flows in an extraordinarily unique way. Ethereal, kaleidoscopic emotionally, struggling to establish the perfect imagery to paint the confluence of emotions that collides in your mysterious soul.

Tracie, you've written a moment worth waking up to, a moment
to hang on to (if only we could). - Thank. Gene.
