Unusual

Unusual The day was ending quietly, the phone never rang. I sat on the front porch trying to understand. Clouds bellowed, I noticed there were no birds, silence with the exception of a gentle breeze that stirred. Was a storm churning, raging in distant miles? I thought about �you� and our tribulations and trials. We thought nothing could change our path, we knew our love would always last. The love lasted but we did not, time changed the way we thought. Why I thought of you now in this moment of time, left me to awed thoughts until I heard the church bells chime. I cannot remember hearing them ring this time of day, I thought how �unusual� and my thoughts of you faded away. Copyright 2002 Tracey L. Hardie
