The Silhouette of Solitude

Beside the stillness of a quiet pool
barring my soul, inwardly
I prayed in hushed whispers
beyond veracity, dredging hope.

A flicker of light shimmered glowingly
as a gentle breeze swayed leaves
into kaleidoscopes that softly bellowed
rays of emotional tones.

I felt your touch contour my silhouette,
shivers vibrated, penetrating
to the depths of emptiness,
into the valley of my soul.

Your breath caressed the surface,
brushing strokes, painting warmth
that covered my paleness
to petals of a blushed rose.

I quivered to the ephemeral
embrace of your love,
leaving a vase of empty tears
in solitude of remembrance.
