A nation can rise no higher than it's woman.....i heard it said i i i heard it said
A brilliant rendering of the schism that comes from observing one reality about oneself while actually experiencing another very different reality created by socioeconomic and historical circustances. Just about the way LIFE is for true.
A touch of perfection, so real I can taste the words, reality in vision, a nation growing, living and being, cost, and honor, a reporter, talking reminding, I hear, I pray they do.....Walt
Stunning, fantastic, realistic and I love it, you blend the poetry of the Gods with the language of the day and it comes out at the best stage of creativity. well done Mitzi as always.

Mitzi, this was powerful...took my breath away. I liked its structure and its heart. Damn good write.

Your pic, my bad.

The imagery you use--! A strong, proud, Black voice roars a powerful message in stunning lines--
Africa on her skin
Haiti on her breath
and America dripping from her forehead and behind <--brilliant: reflects slavery, perhaps?
And the rest of the poem just undoes me--Your best yet: Take a bow, saving this one, GORGEOUS!!!!!!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Always stay proud Mitzi..
