The Healing Power of Sea Salt
~an a nice fat worm from a warm bottle~
heeheehee

Poem Artwork

They tells me that theres
healing in them there seas'
they see the bleeding in me
They say that when I close
my eyes at night
they pay attention to
my silent cries
~I not de only one~
they tell me that I am
*Divine
weak only in my mine
they say it will come true in time
though

They tells me that theres
healing in those seas
and I want to believe
they say they heard my yearnings
over miles n' miles
over the years
they say my age don't match my tears
~but I not de only one~
they ask my bout the black women
in white
who wails and sighs
they say i'm guarded on that side
of my mind
it's dark~ they say close my eyes now
and dream

They say theres healing in them there seas
and they strip down all of me
they say the waves be carryin'anicent
secrets from the royals who live under the sea
voyagers from the eighteen passage
wind blowing the mysteries
thats past down from the trees
~Lord knows I not de only one~
they say if my prayers be in truth
then my spirit will be moved
and an angel will fall to my side
bringing forth a blessed orange light

They say that theres healing in those seas
they say they'll help me
they say that within the waters is powers to unlock the trappings of my mind
they say when the sun is high
they'll wrap my body in pink
~cause i'm ultra-female
~but I not de only one~
I don't see em' but i feel em'
the black women in white
and the caresses of the waves seemed to take flight
I scream cause ma tears overwhelme me

They say theres healing in those seas
they see the bleeding in me
they heard my silent cries
they say i am Divine
they send me the orange light
to unlock the trappings of my mind
the sun beams high, black ladies n white
takes flight and I
~I know I not de only one~
stand wrapped in pink, loving the notion
of being ultra-female
rebirth in strength, believing better
I walk away with a new title of
.................Wave Catcher

cause not everyone can be healed
or feel the power

You have a stout heart and your insightful verses speak loudly. Life is short and we have to make the best of it. You seem to have grasped that more than most of the people I know, who never think beyond their next meal (or beer, or hit, etc.). Keep on truckin'.
