When you’re moving house theres so many things to pay .
Thats why I choose to move the do it yourself way .
We started packing boxes when the kids went down .
Each day the search was on for boxes all round town ,
Theres nothing like empty boxes to put things in ,
once you’ve sealed your boxes up moving can begin .

You’ve got to have some vision when you pack the truck ,
prophetic if you like but most of it is luck .
Friends can give you a lift in more ways than you think ,
they’ll share the load as you go , even share a drink .
So up the steps with white goods, walking wardrobes in .
Stuck up in little corners brings a friendly grin .

Off loading things can be a healthy process too ,
With a skip full of rubbish staring back at you .
Its great to close the door and let the old place go,
then walk through a new door to unpack what you know .
Theres so much to put away , anywhere will do ,
But once you’re in , the rest is really up to you .
