Us
In our air conditioned
Rental car
Driving that endless road
Through the heat
The sun beating down
So hot…
The pavement should melt
Until
Bright lights appear
Casinos everywhere
We reach our destination
Park our car
Get out
Go to a small chapel
Say I do
While elevators go
Up and down
And the greed of people
Fills the air
So heavy
That I fear
If I stayed here in this city
Long enough
It would steal
The life from me
But you and I are visitors
Happy
Just to be with Each other
We hold hands
When we are walking
Kiss when we are talking
And leave this thickness
To go to our home
Which is anywhere
You are and I am
