Looking up

It's easily seen

The good in life

Without the mean

But men of genius

Of wit and keen

Can cast their eyes down

And still the green

The grass that grows

Is repeatedly cut

And trampled on

And made into rut

But the grass grows back

Persists from it's gut

Never even deterred

By waste from a mutt

Life is allowed

When we satiate

Our need for our greens

And veggies are ate

Those tastes you may lust for

Or maybe you hate

But truth ever stands

Green is a mandate

The tallest of trees

Come out of the cold

By showing their green

So brilliant and bold

I hope that you take

From what's being told

See the green and you'll break

Sorrow's all present hold

As so it is said

That geniuses choose

Green for their cars

And no other hues

They think of the grass

Under their shoes

Raise up their spirits

And, happy, they cruise

I hope you are taking

From this story's sound

When you lose your balance

And come crashing down

Where you lay you should see

That green things abound

Life can't be all bad

Whilst green is around.
