And of course with Halloween just around the corner....thoughts turn to things frightening.......giggle

Poem Artwork

She hides a cache of faces
No two of them the same,
Reinventing her personas
To play her deadly game!

Her vacant eyes are windows
To a soul devoid of light!
She lives among the shadows
On the darkest moonless nights!

Men are easy prey for her,
They can’t resist her guile!
Drawn to her like moths to light,
The ecstasy in her smile!

With promises she leads them
To her lavish gilded lair
Their wildest sexual fantasies
For sure await them there!

Red curtains at the windows
Satin sheets on the bed
Visions of her naked body
Dancing in their heads!

But her first kiss is their last one!
For with the strength of ten good men
Her lethal fangs find their mark
And it’s ecstasy once again!

Discarding them like rubbish
Her search begins anew.
Frenzied bloodlust driving her
To do what she must do!

And deep in darkened alleyways
Where only fools would be
Flesh and bones return to dust
No one will ever see!

Few things are more frightening than a 'black widow,' right?

You have done too good a job of making chills run up & down our spines as the harlot stalks us in needle-toed stilettos....eeeeyiiiiikes!!

If that's a Halloween costume, lady, take it off!! Better be decent
under!!

[Way early, I know, but Happy Halloween!]

Think I might have known her sister....

Anna, I've been a fan for some time and you continue to impress. You've posted so many good one's that it's difficult to say this is one of your best, but it's definitely in the mix.

Fantastic! Thanks Dick

Yikes - like a fool, I've been hanging out in some deep, dark alleyways lately - I better start carrying garlic and holy water!!

Such a lady and there would probably be a line in that alley of willing victims.
Nicely done!

Anna, this is so unlike you. Where did this come from? I don't know if I should laugh or shudder. Very well done my far northern friend.
