A brisk wind whips frenzied waves
Salt spray tastes bitter on my lips
The beach deserted, tourists gone
No more blissful weekend trips
Wildly pounding white capped waves
First a hiss then a frantic roar
An errant seagull hangs on the breeze
Does he wonder what I came here for?
The sand cold and damp between my toes
Wool sweater keeps the chill at bay
But I don’t care; my spirit soars
And my heart’s like a child at play
With wild abandon I race along
Dancing in and out of the tide
My burdens lift almost instantly
And my mind is open wide
I find solace in the feral pulse
Of waves upon the sand
And I can bear my soul to the sea
Because I know she understands

Love & Peace be with you

Your new "Solace" poem speaks volumes to me. It's the kind of poem you want to read again and again. There are less than one percent that effect me in that way. This poem is certainly one of your best and my favorite of all.
Peace, Love and Abundant Blessings,

I could feel that ocean waves and the coolness of the wind!
Lovely way to start my day!
Peace, love and light,

And my heart’s like a child at play
Soar On, and for me as well, it is Nature that soothes my heart and soul.
