Yes, I can see the lyrics of a "there's a tear in my beer" song, too. But, many of us well into life's second half will also recognize the expression of loss so profound that wounds never heal, loneliness too painful to be borne, and an all too human plea for just the smallest respite from that pain ... just a minute, an hour, a day. Yours is deeply personal, vulnerable writing. I wouldn't have the courage to attempt it ... I'm glad that you did.

You do have some good friends on the den and we wish you to hurt no more. Take care and let it be what will be will be. This could be a song I agree. I do wish you could find someone to hold you and take care of you and make the hurt go away. Meanwhile join the club, as I am hurting with grief too.

I can sense the darkness, an empty couch or bed, and tears. I think you express the pain and loneliness well with your writing style. Love can ease the pain, or the touch of another can help us to lift the sadness. But sometimes, the one we love hurts us, and then, at that moment, we long for that person to touch us again.
