Some wonder why their dreams will not fly

Some wonder why they stop and they cry

Some wonder why they just cannot win

Some wonder why they just can't stop sin

The patterns unhealthy, they just cannot stop

The patterns so stealthy, they can't see the top

I lose and I lose, why Lord oh why

I refuse I refuse, to just look and stand by

Give me an answer, my Father and King

Tell me right now, what's causing this thing

This thing that just seems, to trip me on up

This thing that continues, to shake my heart up

Why can't I win, Why Lord oh why

Hear me my Father, please answer my cry

The Lord's answer:

I'll tell you my child, of why you don't win

I'll tell you my child, of your secret sin

Never you thought that there was this thing

That kept you from living, your voice cannot sing

Oh, you can go forth, and seem like you're good

Dancing and prancing as all think you should

You speak with such boldness, with confidence true

Yet I still have an issue, an issue with you

You go off to work, to earn all your pay

You still swim in debt, that you cannot repay

Even though you're rich, with money abound

I see you as poor, you can't hear my sound

Even though you sing, you preach and you pray

I cannot receive a single word you say

I have this one issue, this issue that keeps

Keeps you from growing, in the areas deep

Deep in my presence, my glory divine

If you'll receive it, I show you a sign

The response:

My Lord, yes my Lord, I'll truly receive

I just cannot do this, I just can't believe

That everything fails, even though that it seems

To everyone else, that I should be esteemed

You say there's an issue, what kind would you say

Would keep me from flying, and going my way

What sin is so deep, that I cannot see

That's holding me back, from being free

I'm open my Father, to hear what you say

I'm open I'm open, please tell me I pray

God's Answer:

So you say that you're ready, to hear what I know

You say that ready, for me to show

To show you your issue, that keeps you so bound

To show you your issue, that lingers around

Like a horrible stench, that I cannot remove

It stinks, oh it stinks, Child it must move

Open your eyes and look at your heart

Do you realize, that's where everything starts

Every issue every problem, it's not from outside

But inside your heart, that's where it resides

This issue that's there, it stems from your pride

I can't even stare, It's on every side

Black, oh so black, where red use to be

Dark, oh so dark, I hope that you'll see

The sins in your life, have everything to do

With the mountainous cavern from this one issue

See some people wonder, they wonder why

They cannot stop evil, how hard they do try

But I'll tell you this thing and it is the key

FORGIVENESS my child, is the issue, now see

The response:

FORGIVENESS, FORGIVENESS, but why Lord oh why

Could it not be my money or some other guy

Some other person, who I could just blame

For causing some problem, its me just the same

My heart it is black, black with the stain

The stain of my hatred for my past and my pain

I tell you of this, this that you know

That people, yes people, they hurt me so

Some lied and some cheated, some left me alone

Some when I cried, they would not condone

Some when I won, they hated me so

Some when I lost, cheered for what they know

Some that I loved, rejected my heart

I loved them and loved them, but they left me to start

All by myself, with pain in my side

They left me they left me, in you I'll confide

Some did me wrong, they should have known better

I thought that they knew, we're better together

So why Lord oh why, should I FORGIVE

When I think they should die, don't let them live

They hurt me they hurt me, and do not deserve

To hear me or see me, throw them a curve

I hope that you hurt them and hate all them too

Did you see what they did, I even see what they do

The snicker and smile at my hurt and my pain

I hope its a while before they laugh ever again

Cause their life pain, leave them alone

Never regain, the love you have shown

I hate them I hate them, send forth your wrath

Once you have done this, I'll stand and I'll laugh

Saying, that's what you get, you snake in the grass

And when you pass on, I'll be glad that you passed

Don't take them to Heaven, oh no, that's too good

Send them to dwell where demons like them should

FORGIVE? You say FORGIVE? I will when you kill

The life that you gave them, that's when I will

God Says:

See this my child? Do you see what I see?

The black in your heart, this can never please me

But before you send judgment about what they did

Perhaps I can remind you of the sin that you did

I love and I live to give you my all

I love you and give, my name you can call

All I've ever done, is love you you'll see

Yet you did the worst . . . You left me

Whenever you sin, you take all my love

And throw it away, forgetting me above

I sent my Son Jesus, to take all the pain

That you should have taken, you should feel shame

I FORGAVE YOU! So what makes you think

That I won't require that you remove the stink

The stink of your PRIDE, your SIN, and your LUST

I refuse to chide and I won't make a fuss

If you won't FORGIVE, then this is my word

You'll never win, you be stuck by your words

You say that you won't let go, then leave it at that

You'll live life in circles, until you face facts

Your feet will not move, no matter how high

Others esteem you, you'll never fly

You'll fall and you'll fail, never to see

Your heart just like mine, this I can't receive

The black of your heart, has only one key

You must FORGIVE, or you'll never see

Release child release, your pain unto me

And I will not cease, to see that you're free

Free from your past, free from your hurt

Free from the stain, the stain of the dirt

I'll clean you up, if you will receive

I'll change your heart, if you will believe

The Repenter's Response:

In tears I reply, the truth it does sting

But I won't descry, unless your song I will sing

FORGIVENESS, FORGIVENESS, I now release

My pain, yes my pain, I now cut the leash

That tied me to hurt, the hurt from my past

And people that left, I will not crash

My path is unsteady, unless I FORGIVE

If I give you my heart, then truly I'll live

You FORGAVE me for the sin that I did

So I'll FORGIVE them, your words I will bid

By your sweet blood, my black heart is red

Ready to love, and see what you said

The release is so sweet, I feel oh so free

I can now fly . . .
