Recently moved to Missouri. I sit on my deck each night and watch fireflies. Hadn't done that for 40 years simply because they are not a west coast phenomenon. Pity the west coast.
Yes, those were the lazy days of summer. No one was sitting in front of a computer's monitor. We were "living" life, not looking at it in the monitor, and even as innocent as it was we grew up knowing right from wrong and honesty was a virtue to strive for. Those innocent days are long gone and I feel they will never return for the children of coming generations. See what your delightful poem got me to doing?
