Ladybug
by Odin Roark

Like a queen with mantled frock
A ladybug continually fusses about
Her layered cover
Radiating perpetual care

Yet

How willingly they tuck
Beneath their colorful dress
The silken sheen folded neatly
Personifying joy
Prompting child and adult alike
To smile

Hold gently this wonder of nature
Nestling warmly in the palm of man
Porffering temporary innocence
The gift of pleasure
Not worried being such a
Teeny
Tiny
Ladybug
One of Nature's needlepoints of beauty�
