An experience might convey artistic thought, but from where does the
channel of expression emanate? Are we but vessels of continuance, tools for some
unresolved past? “To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on
creating oneself endlessly” – Henri Bergson (Image by Picasso)

Back When…
by Odin Roark
Might a being’s work,
A life’s journey
Be no more than
A slow trek
To rediscover
The discovered?
And
Might art,
Whose palettes of experience
Rendering beauty often
From ill-begotten chance,
Be of ancient vibrations,
Echoing wars,
Pestilence,
Love and birth
Into the ever twining strings of yesterday’s today,
Weaving the course for finding the next two or three
Great and simple creations,
In whose presence
Creation’s heart first opened?
Love ya!
Jane
And then, there are the cave drawings going back as much as 100,000 years…
