Decisions, opinions, arguments abound amidst an endangered Nature. One finds it difficult to NOT see the world as victim caught in its own metaphoric whirling dervish-like blurred vision. Our digital age: Simple…complex…answerable?

Antennae 2019
Adjusting our antennae
what lengths will the waves of continuum require?
Will smiles ever again evade
our angered overload and distortion
our tears slowly dissolving connections?
Can this new means
this universal transmission
merge emotions with
intellectual spark
avoid destruction by fire
allow flame to alight candles
not infernal machines of hate?
Will the mountain stream
continue to carry the simplicity of
leaf-sail atop bark-boats of innocence
floating child-like imagination
into man's unquenchable ocean of mind?
Will orbiting satellites
someday conjoin swirling auras of Nature?
Will questions beg "When" answers
"When" can be a long time for Ones and Zeros
aspiring to know
to think
to be of Nature
Can such digits ever tell us
how near the Singularity truly is
that point where all parallel lines meet
the point where a measured variable
reaches unmeasurable or infinite value
that moment beyond which technological progress
will become incomprehensibly rapid and complicated?
And if such movement be resolved
might man's moral compass
risk annihilation?
Life's antennae awaits adjustment
but what direction?

It's already happened, the tech that we now deal with has already developed rapidly and is indeed complicated in some many ways that we do not fully understand, so that as you say toward the end of this remarkable poem you raise the question whether "man's moral compass risks annihilation?" Indeed it does, some ways it already has.
