Tempest

For many, change comes with fearful trepidation. For others, change is understood as the norm.

Poem Artwork

Tempest

Like so many seemingly innocuous forewarnings

The firmament gathers its innocence of blue

Gives rest to its brilliance

Ushers in an alternative of chance

And lets fate take its course

‘Tis the story of the unexpected as undercoat

A seeming blandness awash

Where clouds seeking form

From gray and white pallet

Coat the canvas of sky

With tearful resistance to falling

How akin the human tempest

Gathering energy

Both dark and light

Kneading relationship’s opposing forces together

And…

Like Nature’s recurrent growth

Human change also forewarns

Before the purge of tears

The healing absorption

Allowing a new harvest of courageous determinism

To continue the cycle of life’s ever-changing propagation
