The Fittest
Like a robin in a tug-a-war
It’s half-buried worm squirming to stay whole
So too does man tug at that
Which squirms to stay hidden
To be burrowed deep in darkness
Who upon raising its head
Risks being devoured for the good
Still…
A stalwart worm will struggle
A cowardice man will wiggle
Past and present will swirl
Like colored dyes in water
The heavier element making it murky
As both sides resist failure
Only one to succeed
With rationality’s clarity
Such continues the battle
For the moment
C’mon…
Who is the fittest
Delusion mouth
Worming to the end?
