Dreams' Reality

It’s probable we seldom take score and consider the struggle of our most intimate dreams.

Dreams’ Reality

How arrives such moments?
Those glimpses,
When consciousness first realizes
Amidst the elusive dreams of a child
That place of castles and warriors
Princesses and silken hair
Is always subjected to a blank slate
On awakening.

As adults…

Dreams seem accessible.
We rush to write them down,
Speak them on the couch,
Beg reflection to arouse
Imagination’s past
Into future’s truth.

Might there be a place
Where swollen heat
Moistens into Nature’s tears,
Encouraging heart’s visualization
To irrigate arid stagnation
From the mind?

Why do many,
Far too many,
Condemn wraithlike epiphanies
As wasted Time?

How sad
Such shunning
Of this gracious invitation,
Left to only grieve those
Ignoring such long ago
Childhood dreams,
Knows not
Time’s wistful desire
Is to revisit
Its most intimate past

Strange

Some never learn
How to actualize dreams
While others know well
 How to dismiss them

For like Pinocchio,

Might dreams desire to be real too?

A good question. When someone relates a dream to me, I try to help them explain it in the analytic and scientific way that I look at things. I know, from academic seminars I took in graduate school that dreams are important and it is, sometimes necessary to have them interpreted.

So I don't dismiss dreams. In fact, I take some of the more vivid ones and write them into a story that I post and/or publish. So these dreams go beyond being simply something that I experienced and forgot into something that may be experienced by many, many people who read the story I have written of the dream.
