Love’s Requirement
Is it not better to love the person,
Not its marginal surroundings,
Not the financial security,
Not the pride value,
Not the procreation ability?
Such remains…
The question: an obstacle.
The answer: often avoided.
The fulfillment: frequently unresolved.
Nature knows well…
For a tree,
A flower,
The sun,
The moon,
The wind,
The beasts,
Never conspire,
Humankind’s narcissism unknown.
If only we identified more with Nature’s integrity,
Accepting all is purposely not perfect,
Inviting love to live regardless of the surroundings’ impact.
Yes…
It is true .
One can’t love another
Until one loves him or herself.
Such is Love's Requirement.

The lines regarding not being able to love others
until we love ourselves…so true…
But there lies the problem…how many of us
have reached this enviable state?
Nature should be our role model for sure…

Crows will offer glittery things to ones they love, as well. Crows love themselves so well they are willing to call out to all of their distant friends their joy.
Once we love ourselves and do not need love from others, love will easily come to us from all quarters.
