One’s Inner-Flower
When discovered,
Finding one’s inner flower
Is often the first day of feeling
There’s more to life
Than what one merely encounters
Outside.
It might be felt in the corners of your stalwart spirit,
Where seedlings of another kind mingle,
Providing soft and tender petals of dreams
To unfold in the streaming rays of your thoughts.
Nurturing of roots lies deep in the soil of your being,
Drawing strength from the breath of hope,
Nourished by tearful past sorrows,
As well as the laughter of joyful moments.
Each petal a confession unspoken,
Risen among the meandering roots of your hidden self.
Awakening occurs…
A hue of colors vies to coalesce
In a dance of emotional acceptance,
Spreading vibrant joy,
Embracing shadows of melancholy.
In your pause of quietness,
Remnants of experience remain at the ready,
Unafraid of any new storms that might rage,
Knowing that within the shade of the flower,
There is peace and sanctuary,
A resilience of grace provides shelter.
You stand at the threshold…
No one can reach your inside treasure
And pluck its essence,
For it is yours
And yours alone,
Its forever-bloom always at the ready
To flourish and protect
The ethereal fragrance and humanness that surrounds
Your flower within
While I'm quite open to the world and really express my inner thoughts to some, I don't to all.
